Note:
1.You will require a BJJ/judo uniform (gi) for training. The gym sells "no-frills" training gi at a reasonable price. 2. For no-gi or submission grappling training, all you need are t-shirt or rash guard and sports shorts (no buttons/zippers). Knee sleeves/pads optional.
A lawyer by profession, Janson, 38, has been training in the sport of BJJ since 2002. Janson was promoted to blue belt by KDTA's Sam Wee ( brown belt under John Will) in October 2005. Janson has also trained under purple belt Francisco 'Quico' Cunha (Team Brutal BJJ), who promoted him to one-stripe blue belt in July 2008, and Adam Kayoom (now black belt).
Coach's Profile : Tirmizi Muhd Yew (aka "Mandeng")
Mandeng started his BJJ training in Fall 2003 while attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During his time in the States, Mandeng was an active BJJ and submission wrestling competitor and in summer 2004, he was appointed as the competition team captain of the UofM BJJ club. Mandeng received his blue belt from Xande Ribeiro in June 2005. Outside BJJ, Mandeng is currently an executive at a Big 4 Firm while pursuing his MBA.
